AG STAR ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION INC.

WARNING! ? BEWARE! please This man named Gerardo Santos runs this company AG Star Construction. Be cautious about conducting business with this man! He is a conniving, impolite, thieving, dishonest man. We hired him to fix the roof of our house in Miami, we are currently living in another state. Gerardo Santos sent me an estimate that included all materials for the repair. He even told me that the roof tiles, my house has, would be more expensive because they are old style and are not made that way anymore. When I went to Miami to check on the house, I found out he took the roof tiles from my back yard (leftover from a previous repair) to fix the roof instead of buying the roof tiles he charged me for. At no point he let me know or offered me a discount for using roof tiles that he took from my yard. He did it behind my back. When I called him to clear up the issue, he refused to pickup the phone! Not only does this man have terrible ethics, but his work is garbage! I was told that the job was done terribly and the leak he was supposed to repair is just smaller than it was before the repair. In the attic, there is clear water damage from the leak visible from the "repair". DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. I hope this will help you to decide against using this company. Check others reviews as well, that was something I should had done first, my bad, but you still have time!

Funniest situation I've ever been in.... I was in the process of purchasing a property, the realtor gave me the phone number to a "roofer", and a friend of a friend gave me another # to call. I called the first number an a gentleman showed with with "AG Star" signs on his truck, he got on the roof, was there for a couple of minutes and came back with a verbal of $X amount to re-do the roof. I asked if he was licensed/insured etc and he said of course, it was his company and he was the owner. I contacted the 2nd number and another gentleman showed up this time in a truck with guess what" "AG Star" signs (and same license#)... he got up on the roof and did the same process, once he got down he gave me a makeshift written proposal (around $3k higher than the last one), i asked if he was licensed (etc) and again, i was told that he was the owner of the company etc... i asked if he knew Mr.___ he told me no, never heard of him... Now correct me if i am wrong but how can 2 different people own the same company, with the same signs and license #s, have a $3k difference and not know each other??? My personal opinion: THIS "COMPANY" IS A JOKE. BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!! (needless to say, i hired someone else and was satisfied)
