Sometimes this little door repair trick will work. Your misaligned door may require a more complex repair such as shimming the hinges. More than one misaligned door in your home could be a sign of trouble with the house’s foundation. If the foundation has settled unevenly, it could cause the door frames to shift.

If you’ve got a misaligned door, or several misaligned doors in your home and the simpler repair options have not worked, it could be time to call a door repair contractor.
