Our team turned this unfinished basement into a rec room / art space and guest room for a creative and retired couple. The client approached us after starting the process with a carpenter they felt wasnt up to the task of creating the space they envisioned. We took cues from the finished upper level, incorporated and rectified some of the previous contractors unfortunate decisions and worked with the owner to apply their color and finish selections. We worked with the client to utilize inexpensive materials that provided a large visual impact without a big impact on the budget. A simple vinyl floor and corrugated PVC panels on accent walls provide a designer look on a entry level budget. To create further visual impact without much cost we used drywall to align false and mechanical soffits and to create arched openings.

After an extensive kitchen renovation our client realized their desire to bring an adjacent bar up to date and in harmony with the new kitchen styling. The owner wanted the bar to take some style influences from the new kitchen yet differentiate itself from the adjacent space. Working with the interior designer we developed a design that is casual, functional and appears almost as a piece of furniture. The bar was constructed by the same custom cabinetry shop that did the kitchen, but finished with a semi-transparent stain and incorporated some more furniture-like features such as the bead board backsplash.

This Mequon kitchen remodel was completed for a single mother who wanted an elegant retreat to replace her obsolete kitchen. Like a professional kitchen, we started with the appliances. We chose to employ two dishwashers, a 48 Sub Zero refrigerator, a bar area with wine storage, a professional range, a 900 cfm hood, and a convection steam oven. The customer wanted a microwave, but hidden because it will not be used often. The steam oven empowers an individual to prepare the most elaborate meals possible by creating a level of control not offered by conventional cooking methods.
