After having an outstanding experience with Monk's on an exterior paint job, called Rich Ressa about a full bathroom renovation. Rich and Greg Kihm, got a thorough understanding of our needs and provided an estimate on the spot. Monk's place a premium on customer communication, and an effective, open channel was established from Day One. The job was turned over to Eric Alvarez to manage. Eric provided a complete understanding of each phase of the project, was always present at critical junctures, and answered questions on a timely basis. The construction team led by Cristian Guzman was punctual, professional, easy to deal with, and went to great lengths to minimize disruption of the household. The job was finished ahead of schedule. We could not be happier with the results. While the individual components of the bathroom are simple, in execution and combination they are stunning. The Monk's team takes great pride in craftsmanship and we are still amazed by the product months later. Monk's is out first choice for home improvement and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mendham Kitchen Remodel | Apr 2015 | The homeowner wanted to brighten up her dark kitchen and improve the efficiency of the layout. Last on the wish list was a special high-powered custom extraction hood. | Mendham, NJ
Outdoor Living Room | Mar 2015 | These Florham Park, NJ homeowners wanted to take advantage of their pretty backyard with a comfortable, covered, outdoor living room. A special emphasis was placed on being able to watch football games outdoors. We were able to accommodate with a fireplace-mounted television. | Florham Park, NJ
Trundle Bed and Bookcase Built-In | Aug 2013 | The homeowners wanted to create a practical and beautiful space in their daughter's room that would house a bed, her books and toys. Originally they wanted under-bed storage provided by large drawers. They decided a trundle bed would be more useful so we reconfigured the bed to accommodate an extra mattress. Drawer fronts were still included to give the bed more visual interest. | Chatham, NJ
Faux Basement Windows | Jul 2013 | The homeowner wanted to create a warm, bright atmosphere in the basement space. Leaky basement windows were causing a problem, so they were closed up and these faux windows were installed. They brighten up the lower level while helping to keep the basement warm and dry. | Chatham, NJ
Exterior Painting | Jan 2013 | Historic homes are treasures that need to be protected and treated like the important reminders of history that they are. Our team at Monk's was called in to perform an exterior home renovation on this historic home dating back to 1720! The trim, windowsills, and portico of this home were rotting and in desperate need of replacements. The layers and layers of paint applied to this home over years of paint jobs were peeling off and needed to be properly stripped. In only eleven days our team was able to get this historic home's exterior looking as good as new! | Basking Ridge, NJ
Master Bath Remodel with Heated Floor and Marble Tile Installation | Jan 2013 | Upgraded a 1980s master bathroom by enlarging the shower space, installing a new double sink vanity and underfloor heating. | Chatham, NJ
Kitchen Remodel in Morristown | Jan 2013 | This 130 year old home's kitchen hadn't been upgraded since the 1950s. There was a beautiful original chimney that the homeowner wanted to incorporate into the remodel, as well as a radiator that was cleverly hid in the kitchen island design. As with many remodels of homes this age, once the demo began a number of surprises were uncovered which needed to be addressed before the kitchen could be completed. | Morristown, NJ
