I feel very cheated by this company. I called them at 4:10 PM because the power to my garage was out and when I tried to flip the breaker, it sparked. I am a single mom with three kids and I take care of my mother in my home, who is battling cancer. I cannot afford to be without power or have an unsafe condition. They came out and they talked a lot of slick talk. Gave me every reason to expect that the problem would actually be repaired. But $1200 later, that’s not what happened, according to what they tell me. The electrician worked for roughly 1 hour for $1200. Left without giving me any paperwork at all. I had to demand paperwork and what I was first given was vague and said nothing about what they repaired. I asked for more detail and when I learned was that they charged me $1200 for one hour of work to “respond” to a “dead short” and to “troubleshoot” to “restore power”. I was really shocked to find out that my power, according to what they tell me, could go out again at any time because they blame my garage door opener for the problem. So after spending $1200, I got a temporary restoration of power but no repair. And it was like pulling teeth trying to get that admission out of them. I called Arthur Connor and expressed my shock at how much money they charged me for this and he quickly became hostile. He raised his voice to me, and went off about how much money he has had to spend on his own personal expenses (to a lawyer, actually) as if that somehow justifies gouging customers. I am told by a licensed electrician that they charged me more than double what was fair. I still cannot believe that they took that amount of money for what they did. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
