The design of the yard is very nice and has been established since 2001. But the texture and color contrasts are not very interesting to me. I prefer a bigger range of colors, large vs. small leafed plants, plants that attract birds, bees, butterflies. There's are lots of euonymus bushes on the property which I find too redundant. Behind our house in our subdivision is a wetland area. The board voted to remove the cottonwood trees and blackberry bushes. I'd like help in figuring out what native plants can replace the removed plants so that the wildlife can survive there.
