We hired Nahum Estrada who owns Juhda and The Lion Landscaping after having him reach out to us to give us a bid on our landscape job. My initial feeling was that he was not honest and would not do a good job. However, he lied and lied, and promised he would do a good job. We were initially bid $32,000.00 to do our landscaping, it seemed like a lot - but, there was two retaining walls that he needed to reinforce, asphalt and turf involved. He wanted us to pay him in cash, in order to get the discounted price of $32,000.00. He started with an initial deposit of $8,000.00 in cash and we had him sign off he received the money. The first few days were great and it seemed like he was getting a lot of work done. Safety was not important, as he had his four guys using big machinery and no one was in any sort of construction vest, nor hard hats, no one had any safety gear at all. He asked several times for down payments for material. He would ask me and then my husband, and was double dipping with us both. My husband travels a lot and so was in and out of the house for work, so he would ask me to pay him and then ask my husband to pay him. He also kept bringing new bids saying prices were higher for material than originally thought. We have four children and really wanted to get the landscaping done for our children. He initially said it would be a 2 week job - The job officially started on March 25, 2019. The original bid $32,000.00 cash. By the second week there had been a lot of excavation, and retaining walls had been getting built. He said that we needed more pavers for the retaining wall, as originally he didn't count it right. He charged us for 390 blocks, an additional 250 and then another additional 100. So 740 blocks total - after getting the feeling he was scamming us I decided to start really keeping an eye on him and his guys. I counted the blocks and he had actually used about 590 blocks. At $22.00 a block - just the blocks alone he scammed us over $3,300.00 - and after doing my own research I found the blocks only cost $10.00 a block retail. About $5.00 wholesale. Even at retail pricing he scammed a total of $1500.00 -- the total for blocks and labor was over $20,0000.00 - and that is JUST the retaining wall. One was is about 30 blocks long and 4 blocks high. The other was is about 50 blocks long and 8 blocks high. Before labor - he over charged and scammed us over $18,500.00 JUST for the retaining wall. On April 3, 2019 Nahum met with me and our house manager, Richard. He told us that the pavers we had chosen that were 36" x 36" and needed 70 of them to cover our patio area would be $12,800.00 - he told us that he would needed to be paid in full to place that order. Reluctantly, we gave him the full $12,8000 in cash for the order to be placed. He told us the order would be in within 10 days - 10 days later no pavers. He told us there was a new delivery date of May 5th. As of Monday, he does not want to work with us, after we confronted him with the numerous and grossly overcharging and scamming. As of today, May 3rd he told us he will not give us the pavers - our general contractor contacted the company he ordered the pavers from, they said they were never ordered. He scammed us of $12,800.00 cash and never gave us any product. Nahum also grossly overcharged us for DreamTurf. After speaking to Dreamturf directly, they can not give me the exact number that Nahum was charged - but gave me an estimate and told me the material costs is roughly half of their bid. Their bid was $17,000 being generous. Meaning, $8,500 generously for material. Nahum charged us $16,000 in cash for the turf. The turf has half way been installed, and, has been installed incorrectly. We now are having to pull out the poor work he did, and start over from scratch through DreamTurf. As of today, Nahum with his company Judha and the Lion out of Renton, Washington has scammed us of over $38,000.00 in cash and an additional $8,000.00 in checks. He also took materials from our home, the were not his. He stole items from our property, all which we have on camera. He will not be completing our job, and took complete advantage of us financially. After getting several bids since Nahum has left, and showing them before pictures - the companies have bid us that his work couldn't have been more than $10,000.00 to be generous - Nahum has scammed us out of $30,000.00 Nahum Estrata and his company Juhda and The Lion need to be investigated for scam and poor work services. I cannot believe that there are companies who do this to people.

Spends very little time on yard and leaves it unfinished. Does not take instruction well at all. Billing is erratic. Does not value customers at all.
