I moved to St Charles Townhomes in July 2020. I must say that Mayra from the Excelsior Community Management office has been a key participant in helping me with all my questions regarding everything. She is very responsive and professional. She has been so helpful and friendly. The few times I've called the office I always ask for Mayra. She has been a super star in my eyes since my first day here. Thank you Mayra for taking your time in assisting me.

Would give a negative amount if I could, but much like this Association, nothing is perfect. Flash back to a few months ago when I went to visit my boyfriend in his neighborhood and ended up staying the night. I came out to my car the next morning to find a note under my wiper stating I was to only park in the designated RESIDENT parking spots if I was a resident- I am not a resident as I do not live there... This was in April of this year. Now skip ahead to three days before Halloween. No parking violation slips since the first and only one in April. Keep in mind I visit him about 2-3 times a week and stay the night about 2 times a month- all while parking in the designated GUEST spots. I am not going to take up a resident spot and risk my vehicle being towed from there if I'm NOT a resident. So three days prior to Halloween I called Excelsior Community Management: The official HOA that manages the neighborhood. I spoke to a young woman whose name I did not write down that I'm STILL kicking myself for. She instructed me to provide her my full name, license plate number, and description of my vehicle and she prompted that she would add me to a "vehicle tow exception list" and that everything was handled. Skip ahead now to 2 days ago. I was leaving my boyfriend's house at 11:30 p.m, and my vehicle was no longer there. After running around like a mad-man trying to figure out where it was and using the GPS to track where it was taken, I found out it was a a tow yard about 15 minutes away. I tracked down one of the parking supervisors that roam the neighborhood at night and they confirmed my fear that my vehicle was in fact towed and even showed me that my vehicle was NOT on the "no-tow exception list". I was forced to pay a $165 fine (originally $265 but the nice gentleman knocked it down for me). I emailed Excelsior Community Management and explained my issue to them and asked them to be reimbursed for the tow bill that I should NOT have had to pay. All I received was a dry, unsympathetic response from Glorisela Perez the next day stating that I did not provide an email request along with proof of residency and my registration, that it was "my fault" for not following protocol, and that reimbursement "would not be happening". Her lack of empathy was not only demeaning and just plain rude, but the fact that I'm paying for the lack of competence and communication within their office is nothing short of absurd. Nonetheless, I WILL be fighting this.
