My wife and I think it's time for us to start spreading the word that SunDrop Solar is not a company people should choose for their solar installation. It has been over 2 months since promises were made to correct the mistakes that were made by Sundrop with the installation of our solar system. Tony, the salesperson, was the only employee who followed through with what he said he will do to make the sale. Once the process began it became one problem after another. 1: Poor design of panel positioning prompted an email from me with a redesign that would work better. 2: Had to indicate 4 times that there was no HOA to deal with which caused delays. 3: ALL financed money was withdrawn by Sundrop BEFORE any installation was even performed and was told that it was an accounting error. 4: On the day of installation, it was me who noticed that the panels being installed were not the ones that were agreed upon and not the ones indicated on the schematics for this job. 5: Schematics also indicated the panels were to be tilted toward the west to catch more of the late afternoon/evening sun. They were installed flat. 6: Code requirements indicate a 1/2" clearance between any conduit and the roof surface. There were two areas where the conduit laid on the roof. This was rectified after I sent pictures to Sundrop. 7: Promises made, but no action taken. Excuses were given for the mistakes made and was told by a manager that the panels would be replaced within 2 weeks of Sept 7th. Was also told to send Sundrop our August SRP bill and that they will pay it. It is now November 17th and after weekly unanswered emails nothing has been done. Not even any acknowledgements of receiving these emails. I recommend buyers to look elsewhere.

My husband and I our very pleased with our experience with Sun Drop Solar. They had everything completed according to the schedule they gave us. They explained every thing that was being done during the whole process of the installation.The hold up we had was waiting on the electric company to come and check out everything. they always were there to answer any questions. Highly recommend this company.

Our experience with Sundrop has been outstanding. We had solar on our previous home in California with another company. Our experience with them was very good, but we have to say that Sundrop has been even better. The installation was scheduled quickly and all the work was done on time. The crew that installed the panels was professional and answered all of our questions. There have been no problems with the installation and the performance of the panels. We do recommend that homeowners who live in an area with a lot of pigeons and doves contact a bird control company to install barriers that exclude pigeon/dove nests under the panels. We did not do it right away and eventually the doves discovered the protection of the solar panels and started making their nests. Once we had the pigeon barriers installed, there was no further pigeon problem. Overall, we recommend Sundrop Solar as a solar panel installer. We shopped around and decided that Sundrop offered the best price and the best service.
