Olea Painting, LLC was formed by Rene Olea (2 Brother's Painting) and Andy Hamm (Lord Painting). The two met at the painters union after the crash. Each owner has a solid background using a diversity of finishes and application methods. Between the two there is over 41 years of experience with finishes and restoration. We are a complete residential and growing commercial painting contractor. Our philosophy is simple, educate the customer, expose any real problems before the bid or along the way, always show up, do what we say we are going to do and do excellent work. We take pride in our preparation, restoration and our finishes. Our projects range in size from a single door to an apartment complex or bigger. All paint related projects are welcome be it new construction, basic repaints, quick turn around jobs to the extensive dust free lead paint removal and complete paint stripping jobs. We are lead certified through the local painters union to meet and exceed all the EPA lead law standards. We use ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, booms. We are safe.

When I purchased my home, it was a uniform flat color throughout. I had wanted to improve the character of the home and chose to start with paint. I bid the project through a few vendors and the Olea painting team made me confident and comfortable with their experience. There was a lot of brush work in the master closet and I was a little apprehensive about all of the molding throughout my home. I was not looking for the cheapest painter in town, but I was conscious of cost and was mostly focused on the finished product. Their bid was competitive and their results are truly impressive. I walked the entire job several times looking for touch-up, imperfections in the lines, and dry spots. None were to be found. I was very impressed and I'll be using them again for future projects!

Painting project | Apr 2014 | Repainted home interior (Living, Kitchen, Dining, Hall, Stairway, Powder Room, Master Bed, Bath and Closet) | $3k | Seattle, WA
Thriftway Condo | Dec 2013 | We blazed through 3 levels, adding quality paint and color to most of the walls. The owner wanted a small wall in the kitchen to become a dry erase board or a chalk board so we prepped the wall and skim coated it with mud to make it smooth. The millwork went untouched as it was prefinished with stain and clear coated. | Seattle, WA
Condo on the Sound | Dec 2013 | This was another complete repaint. The transformation started with repainting all of the millwork. In this case the original millwork and paint needed a lot of TLC. Sanding filling, caulking, priming were necessary to create a great base for the new top coats. We used a zero V.O.C. acrylic on the millwork, ceilings and walls to keep the vapors odors to a minimum. Trying to keep the peace while working in condos, townhomes or apartments is a must and odors tend to disturb even the nicest of neighbors. | Des Moines, WA
Sammamish Interior | Nov 2013 | Prepare the houses interior to receive a complete repaint of it's millwork, walls and ceilings. The usual first step is to protect the floors. Whether the floors are wood or carpet they need to be covered. In most cases we like to cover the hard surfaces with paper. Now we can scrape, fill, sand, prime and caulk all surfaces without worrying about damaging the floor. The process was pretty standard here. The millwork was in good condition and was painted well the first time. We did rebuild/filled some areas with wood putty and red bondo. All edges were recaulked. After masking everything we primed and sprayed 2 top coats of Benjamin Moore's Oil Satin Impervo. After the millwork dried we back masked and applied 2 coats of dead flat ceiling white to the lids and 2 coats of Benjamin Moore's Interior Aura matte finish to the walls. We performed a complete cleanup and demobed. | Sammamish, WA
BPT Fremont | Nov 2013 | We did some basic preparation to the previously painted walls and added some color. | Seattle, WA
Georgetown ACC | Nov 2013 | We gave this place some new color. We did a lot of spackling to tiny holes throughout but the owner mostly wanted to keep the original character in tact. A fresh recoat that included new colors to both the millwork and walls. | Seattle, WA
Flood Damage | Oct 2013 | This was a small job that entailed priming a few large patches on the ceiling and walls in a Capitol Hill condo. The patches were the result of a small flood that occured in the condo from above. The job was quick, a single coat of primer on the patches and a couple of top coats. | Seattle, WA
Deck Repaint | Sep 2013 | Tear it off or give it a really good bandage, well we chose the bandage. Eventually the deck will be replaced or a layer rebuilt. Until that happened we wanted it to look good and keep the water from entering failed areas in its original coating and damaging a new soffit under the deck. We used Super Deck's Deck And Dock with an intermediate coat of anti skid. | Seattle, WA
Woodinville Blue Exterior | Sep 2013 | Custom repaint. As the prime coat we sprayed and back brushed 2 full coats of PPG's Permanizer Plus to all surfaces. Permanizer is an acrylic urethane wood stabilizing primer liberally applied to saok in, bridge wood checks and stabilize wood. It has great breathability and creates a perfect bonding surface for top coats. We've been using it for 15 years. Permanizer prevents and solves many issues with wood substrates even LP siding. We applied 2 sprayed and back rolled coats of color. We sripped and refinished the deck too. | Woodinville, WA |
