Marshall Cabin Hardwood Floor Makeover | Jan 2014 | The floors were like the ceilings they looked orange from the old poly that was on them. We went in and sanded them back down to raw wood. Then after a thorough cleaning we stained the floors. The customer choose the color "Kona" which was a Rust Oleom product. Then after 24 hrs. we applied a coat of Minwax Satin professional grade floor poly urethane. Then about 6 hrs. later we applied a second coat of poly. After the second coat was applied we waited till the next day then sanded the floors with 220 grit sand paper to slick the floors over. Then we vacuumed again and applied a third coat of poly to the floors. Then after 72 hrs. we were able to reset the furniture. And well the results speak for themselves. The price for this project includes labor and material | $2k | Marshall, NC
Marshall Cabin | Jan 2014 | There was about 1000 sq ft of ceilings involved in this project. The ceilings in the cabin were coated with poly urethane twenty yrs. ago and had turned orange. We sanded the ceilings back to raw wood then applied a whitewash to them that we actually made ourselves. The price for this project includes labor and materials | $3k | Marshall, NC
Lot A Windows | Jan 2013 | Scraped loose, flaky paint on 44 windows, 5 screen doors, 9 doors, handrails, porch ceilings, 5 wooden window screens. then applied two coats of paint to all the above. There was two houses involved in this project. | $5k | Montreat, NC
Challedon Facelift | Apr 2014 | We painted all of the interior walls and trim(crown, chair rail, baseboard, show molding). We scraped off all the popcorn texture on the ceilings, and applied a heavy orange peel before painting them. We also pressure washed and painted the front of the house, which wasn't a lot since it is a brick home, but it sure made a big difference. | Candler, NC
Parkway House Beautification | Jul 2012 | The client is a true oil paint lover. The last painters used latex paint over oil paint on the interior doors, and trim. This does not work, the latex paint will not bond properly to the oil. We had to remove the doors take them outside and pressure wash the latex paint off them, sand them. Then paint them with oil paint. Sand the latex off all the trim then paint it with oil paint. This project took place in 7/12. We've been back to do a lot of painting projects for her since. We were told by the client we were the only sub-contractors. Of any trade she had back to her home for more than one project. The house is currently on the market for $1.4 million. We have several more painting projects scheduled,to help promote the sell of the house. | Asheville, NC
Johnson log cabin | Jun 2014 | Pressure washed the log home and decks. Then brushed two coats of Sherwin-Williams Log Home Stain on home/handrails and one coat of oil based Deck-Scapes on the decks/steps. | $6k | Leicester, NC
Dust Eliminating Laminate Floor Instulation | Jan 2013 | The project consisted of a lot more than just laminate floor installation. It was to be installed in a mobile home with a 24x16 addition on it . There were some rotten floor issues the addition had 2x6x16 floor joist they had sagged so bad that when we removed the carpet there was no way to install laminate flooring. We actually had to go under the addition and build a series of peers and install 3- 24 foot long beams, and jack the floor up and re-level it. We replaced about three sheets of plywood sub-floor in order to install the laminate. We built the peers, constructed and installed the beams, installed 1100 square foot of flooring, trimmed the flooring out and done it all in 6 days. The lady we were doing the project for actually went in for lung surgery the day before we started, She had some type of lung cancer and was having a partial lung removed. The project was done to get rid of the carpet in the house and cut down on dust for the sake of her health. We thought we were on a time crunch of 9 days . Unfortunately she had to stay in the hospital longer than first thought, but now she's home and doing better, and planing another project for us for this spring. Cost was for labor only | $3k | Weaverville, NC |
