Builders Fireplace & Supply, Inc. was born when three brothers and a sister met one Sunday afternoon in one brother's shop to talk about their future. Tammy Melton had worked for about 19 years with various fireplace companies. Tom Boles had also been associated with fireplace dealers for about 16 years. Ron Boles wanted to know what kind of future there might be in birthing their fireplace business. Two months later, on November 1, 2000, in that little metal shop, Builders Fireplace opened its doors to the public. No project is too small or too large. Builders Fireplace has placed their products in homes ranging in price from $50,000 to more than two million dollars. Ninety eight percent of the business is from contractor sales. Both interior and exterior services are available. Builders Fireplace & Supply, Inc. is a member of Greater Greensboro Homebuilders Association, High Point Area Builders Association, Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem, HBA of Davidson County, and HBA of Burlington-Alamance. The company includes 12 full time employees, and approximately 20 part-time employees. Officers of the company are: Ron Boles, CEO/CFO; Tammy Melton, President; Tom Boles, Vice President; Don Melton, Jerry Boles, Kyle Kirkpatrick, Sales; and Jan Boles, Office Manager.
