The owner is taking advantage of tax free labor and since we had a verbal agreement and I was trusting him to pay me he is screwing me over . I earned that money working for him and deserve it . I was not fired . I quit because he took too long to pay me and I believe he was lying to me about already sending it twice on cashapp. He did not communicate to me about it either and days went by with nothing . We agreed on Friday as payday and this was not the first time he didn’t pay me on Friday . He told me more than once he was just busy and forgot so that upset me because he wasn’t making it a priority and I was making working for him a priority . So after a week I told him I must be paid on time from now on or need to be communicated to if I am to work for him any longer . Be says ok you are right I will be paying you in a couple hours . Nothing. Next day nothing . So the next day after that I no longer had any patience for this man and I was letting him determine how I was going to approach it. Mind you it had been over a week at that point. I was wrong to behave that way and I should’ve been more civil and controlled but everyone in the entire world understands why I would be doing that . He hadn’t paid me and had told me several times he’s about to send it and it had been a long time . Would he have done this to someone he respected ? Does he think I am weak enough for him to take advantage of and just screw me over with no consequences? This is very offensive to me and is a big factor in my reasoning. Whatever either way he owes me now only 220 dollars left and has no intention of paying me and is lying and saying he fired me and I am on drugs and I damaged property . Those are all lies . Very immature and unprofessional he is mad I quit and his ego wouldn’t allow him to take accountability. This guy is much older than me and I really didn’t expect him to act like that I was even looking up to him at the time . Him being a recovering drug addicted himself and starting a family and business and whatnot. I respected him a lot . He entered into the realm of lies and stooped As low as insulting me as well and this whole situation is stupid and unnecessary he should just pay his debts and stop lying. I may have been aggressive when demanding my money but I did not insult him and I believe I am justified in being upset and I feel very disrespected. I could prove the verbal agreement between us with the messages and witnesses and go to small claims court to take legal action but it’s 220 dollars and originally 420. Not worth going to court and wasting time and money doing that whole process to get that money back and end up just losing money im sure . But it would be worth it for him to face some type of repercussions to his actions . I just want the money and I would gladly never ever have anything to do with him or this business ever again. The disrespect is also something I would like retribution for but I don’t expect an apology from him or even expect him to hold himself accountable or even tell the truth about all this and I am cool with letting it all go as long as I receive the 220 dollars I am rightfully entitled to.
