The Virtual Repairman

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Jim Campbell several times because my husband thought he was a good ol boy. I wasted $120 having dryer wizard come out to clean our dryer vents because he said the dryer ball bearings were going out because the dryer vents were clogged. Dryer wizard informed me that we have a vent that is about a foot long, straight and clean. Too late to not pay for the service. The ball bearings was a whole separate ass whip. Had them changed twice and of course it was nothing he did. Right after that the belt breaks. Yes, you are counting correctly the number of service trips we paid, THREE, to get our dryer fixed. As he leaves his trash all over our home he tells us that we should have bought a new dryer. Since my husband is sick, I agree to let Jim Campbell fix the door latch on our dishwasher. When he is done, the door won’t shut correctly. Since he took the door apart fixing the latch, I ask him to stop by the next time he was near our home to fix the door properly. He fixes the door when I am not available. The door now will not open completely to allow for the dishwasher to be loaded and the whole street can hear the door open. When I confront him over the phone, he tells me he is sick of my shit and will send me my money back. GREAT!!! I hunt him down after two weeks of no refund showing up. He has to check to make sure the check he wrote and sent in the mail did not clear. He decides he needs to drive over to our home to drop off a check while we are not home. He leave as a check for a refund of the part, a 33% refund. I text him to tell him he can chose to issue a full refund or come fix the dishwasher properly. He tells me the fix is too difficult and the machine is a POS. He explains to me that I’m a dumbass for not listening about purchasing a new dishwasher because of his caliber and experience after I explained to him that he broke the door. Nothing was broken but the latch prior to him coming to our home. His final word to me was to “do what you need to do”. Hope sharing my experience helps others make better decisions. Nothing is done quickly by time and he is better than ALL OF US.
