Steve Austin Construction

This is in response to the review left by Sherri M. In her review she states plainly that the issues began after Helene came thru. All of the damage that she reported in her review could have been caused by Helene's wrath and not poor workmanship. She failed to say that this job was done several years ago and there have been no calls made prior to this that there were any problems. I find it very hard to believe that if there were roofing and gutter issues it would not have caused leaks from the beginning. She did make a call to alert him of issues but he was not told that it was this dire of a situation and like most businesses he has a full schedule. She was on the schedule to be visited but texted and told him not to come back. The pictures and video that were sent of the issues contained some places that were not part of the scope of this job. Steve Austin has never intentionally done harm to anyone's home and has always followed up on any issues as his schedule allows or sooner if he had been told of the severity and this issue would have been corrected if he had been given the chance.

He was hired to add a roof & gutters to an existing porch. At first we were pleased. From the ground it looked great. Keep in mind we are not able to get on the roof for a close inspection. Then Hurricane Helene came thru. All the run off from the rain flooded the basement because of the terrible job done with the shingles and gutters. There are rips and a hole in the shingles. The gutters are pushing the shingles up so that the water pools up instead of draining off as it should. I’ve got pictures and video to back it up. We called him and told him the problem. He said he’d come back. He didn’t. I don’t trust him to fix it right anyway.
