We are satisfied with our dealings with Mr Nutter

REVIEW UPDATE - Mr Nutter agreed to give us back the money we gave him for the project and I would remove or update my reviews to reflect he made it right and we are satifsfied with the resolution.

This guy is NOT Dogwood landscaping, he is called 5 Star Services and has been using this company name fraudulently for years. His name is Bruce Nutter; He took over 10k for a paver and turf project and never finished our job. Shortly after he started he begged to be paid up front. Even texted us he only had $54 bucks in his business account and couldnt pay for materials or labor, we felt stuck because he already started and promised he would finish. He gave us a signed reciept that we paid in full. Then he completely deviated from the plan to rush through, they messed up our entire backyard, and never came back to finish. When we confronted him, he told us he didn't know how to fix our patio and would need to ask for help from a man who works at Site One. It made no sense why he was acting like he couldnt do the job now after he was paid in full. He was looking for any excuse not to finish because he was paid in full. After months of dealing with his excuses and distractions from why he hasnt finished... we told him we needed to have the project completed properly, our money back, or we would file with the state. Thats when we found out his fliers are a complete fraud. He was not licensed to do a project as large as ours, his company was not Dogwood or even 5 Star Services. He has no company licesed with the state and the guys working for him were not employees like he stated, not insured. It was a complete con to earn our trust, it was all a fraud. Mr. Nutter thinks he can bully people into doing what he wants, he could care less after he gets your money. He completely deviated from our agreement after he was paid. He used the wrong color sand which didnt match what was already there, didnt get the products we discussed after he was paid to get the materials. He even texted he didnt get them because they're so expensive. He literally stole our money and never gave us the materials we paid him for in our agreement. I wish I could leave a picture on here of how Mr Nutter left my home. They destroyed and removed our fence panels so he could try to force us to use him for a new fence to get another draw. He has not made any proposal to make it right, all he has are lame excuses that do not make sense. We're left with a missing fence, destroyed landscape lights, ornamental trees they ran over, and he was paid in full, nowhere near completion. ..our paver patio is a mess. And his business is a complete fraud, his business is not named Dogwood, another man owns that business and he said he has nothing to do with Mr Nutter but gets calls about him taking other peoples money and not returning. Porch should take this listing down and not promote a fake business listing!!!

Cottage built in 1940's was renovated last year & I bought it.........downsized big time when I moved here. Backyard was hubbly , stumps everywhere in back & front & no landscaping in front. I just wanted the backyard leveled!! I am a little fish in most Landscaper's big pond...but Bruce Nutter called me, came to me & told me he/they could do that job. I was so impressed by him that I asked him to do both front & back yards....... including stump removal & landscaping. He & his crews just finished a small hardscaping job for me also. Great to work with!!! VERY knowledgeable , professional & personal!!!........company wide!!!
