We partnered with Greenfield Cabinetry for this project and together we developed the cabinet layout, selected wood and shade of white to use as the top coat. The cabinet style is a framed inset and was to seamlessly envelope the stainless steel appliances and sink. Installation is so much easier when the cabinet maker is onsite from the beginning. We chose a Carrara tile for the backsplash and a marble mixed with honed black stone for the countertop. The client fell in love with the stainless knobs, handles and lighting fixtures we selected. Hardwood flooring was stained individually before assembling to give a rustic appearance.

This farmhouse in Central New Jersey was originally built in the 1700s. Each family that had called it home made alterations to the original structure. We were tasked with giving the space a clean country feel, customizing the cabinetry to accommodate new appliances and adding a center island for both production and fast meals and functional wine tasting area for entertaining. We selected paint grade maple cabinetry and Knotty Alder. We used a satin varnish giving it a distressed finish using special brush techniques. Hard wood flooring added to the rustic feel. We decided on Soapstone for our counter tops using a dark color for the cooking and production surfaces. A butcher block top was selected for the kitchen island. Profession grade stainless steel appliances were selected for the appliances and a cast iron for the back splash and sink.

The client desired a modern kitchen design that used custom wood cabinets and a eat in kitchen island to satisfy a busy life style. We helped the client select the flooring and partnered with Bentwood Cabinetry for the semi custom wood cabinets. The wood selected was a durable Alder wood with a Java stain. We worked with Palmer Door to provide a stylish look for our entryways.
