Chicago Loop building CubeSmart | Jun 2014 | Project Description: Storage Facility building located in the Famous Chicago Loop Area. Problem; concrete walls, brick walls, concrete masonry unit (CMU) clock walls at grade and below grade leak profusely every time rain occurs rendering spaces useless for storage. Water literally ran through the walls to pool on the floor. The Solution: Remove old paint, coating and coverings, then clean and prepare surface for the application of Pro-Seal Products negative side repair and water proofing and Pro-Seal's PPW's and Pro-Seal DP-36 screed coat system to stop water migration into the spaces. Once the Pro-Seal Products Systems were installed a final spray treatment of DP-36 was applied and allowed to cure forty-eight (48) hours. The dry and pristine building was then turned over to the building owner and available for rental. The owner's approval and response; " We have fourteen (14) more buildings and sixty (60) elevator pits we want you to attend to. We have not been able to get this space dry in nine years of trying." | $260k | Chicago, IL | |
