Neal The Handyman

In short, Neal-the-Handyman should be avoided. I found him on one of the websites used to find a handyman, and he was rated with eleven 5 star reviews. I do not know why he was rated 5 stars. In my case, he was hired to replace a rotted exterior window sill. He estimated 2-3 hours of work time to completion, and he stipulated work on a T&M basis. He would show up, do something, disappear, and then repeat. He did not use the standard window sill but instead used a regular stock, and the job looked ugly and nothing like the standard window sills on the rest of the house. In the end, I fired him. At that time, the job was nowhere close to being finished, what was done looked ugly and not professional, and yet he charged me for 3 hours. The picture would show the state of the window at the time I fired Neal, but pictures are not allowed here. If it was possible to give zero stars, I would do that. As it is, one star.
