ALPCO Recycling

Alpco Recycling is a garbage removal company that has been providing Macedon and the surrounding areas with junk removal, appliance recycling, and construction dumpster rental since the '60s. ALPCO Inc. was founded in 1960 as a gravel business and eventually using the empty gravel pits as landfills; replacing the commonly used “burning dumps”. Al Plumb started pulling out cardboard and other recyclable materials in order to divert it from the landfill and put it to good use. In 1989, ALPCO Inc became ALPCO Recycling Inc, with its sole focus on the conservation of energy and other natural resources through the use of recycling. ALPCO quickly became a leader in Upstate NY in the areas of residential, commercial and industrial recycling.
