Victorian Porch restoration | Oct 2010 | This project involved the complete restoration of a side porch on a Victorian home circa 1880.The existing porch was carefully dismantled so any serviceable components could be reused. The brackets and trim profiles where used as masters, and the new mill work was made in our shops. The porch was re assembled using the salvaged and the new components. The siding and trim are Western Red Cedar. The brackets and the framing are Douglas fur. The simple yet elegant railing system is Spanish Cedar. | $15k | St Davids, PA
Small Home Office | Aug 2009 | The challenge to this project was to get everything to fit in a fairly small home office space. The main wall was a pair of book cases on either side of a window, with a lateral file cabinet in between. Along with the book cases there was a stand alone cabinet and shelves. We would have made him a desk but he already had one. The work was done with cabinet grade maple plywood and solid Tiger Maple | $9k | Durham, CT
Home office Tiger Maple | Aug 2008 | The challenge for this project was to get everything to fit in a fairly small home office space. It consisted of two book cases on either side of a window with a lateral file cabinet in between them. Along with the built in shelves there was a stand alone matching cabinet and shelves. All of the solid wood is Tiger (or Curly) Maple. | $9k | West Chicago, IL
New Front Porch and addition Wayne PA | Dec 2005 | This project envolved the construction of a new front porch and small addition on a 1920's Wayne home. The front door and elliptical window above where moved out and reused. The roof is standing seam copper and the trim is a composite material making for a low maintenance exterior. As with all of our projects our goal was to have it "fit " the house and look like it had always been there. This was done with the benefit of an architectural plan. | $25k | Wayne, PA |
