Kickingbird Master Bath | Jan 2014 | When a client comes back to us for new remodeling projects, we are so thankful. We know they must be satisfied with our service and finishing quality to use us again and those relationships are the most meaningful to us. We had done a few major projects for this client in the past and now it was time to do their master bathroom. This job called for a completely custom design, ripping everything that was old out and starting over fresh. We started with vaulting the ceiling to maximize the view of the skylight. We also built a completely new custom shower with an in-wall niche, a new corner Jacuzzi tub installation, and new tile on the floor. We designed and installed new custom cabinetry, recessed lighting and a beautiful chandelier above the tub for romantic nighttime ambience. To go along with the rest of the home, we stained the wood and painted the walls using rich warm tones. | $20k | Edmond, OK
Kitchen Makeover | Jan 2014 | This kitchen was part of an overall home remodel in which the client was going from a very warm, old world style to a new, cool, modern look. To make her kitchen fit in with the rest of the home we sanded down the exposed-brick texture and matched the existing wall texture. We painted the walls and ceiling, replaced the kitchen faucet, cabinet hardware, and pedant lights. The special challenge for this room was changing the look of the warm-toned travertine accent wall to something cool and modern without actually removing the tile. To do this we faux painted the travertine to look like slate. We did this with two different blue paints then added copper and silver metallic paint to finish the look. | $2k | Edmond, OK
Salsbury Master Bathroom | Jan 2014 | This master bathroom was constructed in the 1970's and was very dark with no source of natural light. It was connected to a guest bathroom which was unacceptable for a modern day master suite. To begin we walled off the door to the guest bathroom and removed the wall between the vanity and tub area. From here we vaulted the ceiling and installed a sky light above the new tub area. The tub had to be rotated with the dividing wall removed and a Jacuzzi tub was installed. We added a brand new shower location, with a bench and an in-wall niche. We installed marble mosaic in the back of the niche, wood grained tile for the field, and a luxurious heavy glass enclosure. We designed and built a custom double vanity with a vanity tower for additional storage. To go with the natural color scheme we designed, we chose a stainless steel finish for all of the fixtures and hardware. We really wanted this master bathroom to have a relaxing ambience so we installed recessed lighting and contemporary vanity lights with dimmer switches. The old tile floor was ripped out and in its place we installed wood plank tile floors. This bathroom was designed to have a relaxing spa-like feel and in the end that is exactly what we accomplished. | $20k | Oklahoma City, OK
Budget Kitchen | Jan 2014 | Often times we have clients who request complete home renovations on new home purchases before they move in. This was the case with this client. She requested a full home remodel including painting the walls and ceilings, installing wood flooring in the living room, and carpet in all of the bedrooms. The kitchen was the real focus here. We completely resurfaced the original countertops to stay budget friendly, painted the cabinets and installed new appliances. We installed a beautiful backsplash and highlighted it with under cabinet lighting. | $1k | Oklahoma City, OK
Quail Creek Deck | Jan 2013 | When we went to the estimate appointment for this deck repair we didn’t know exactly what to expect. What we found was a deck in desperate need for repair and a fresh coat of paint and stain. The client wanted to keep it budget friendly and reduce waste as much as possible. Keeping this in mind, we rebuilt the banister and railing and painted it. We then secured all loose decking, restored and re-stained it and added rope lighting to the railing and deck curb for a dramatic nighttime ambiance. | $3k | Oklahoma City, OK
Salsbury Kitchen | Jan 2012 | This kitchen started with a fur down ceiling and florescent lighting that had to go. After removing that we raised the ceiling about 12” and added recessed lighting on dimmers so that light output could be controlled. We then installed new tile flooring including custom inlays with a smooth transition to the adjacent wood floor in the living area. The desk area was painted with a rub-through distressed finish. We added glass pane doors, granite desktop, custom backsplash, and new hardware to complete the finish. The interior doors had trim added for increased weight and a luxurious look. We added wire shelving to the inside of the pantry door providing tons of storage. While keeping the cabinet boxes we built new cabinet doors and drawer faces. The new doors were made with affordable plywood materials, painted, van dyke glazed, and had trim added give the door more depth. We raised the serving bar area to allow for barstools to be added increasing the seating capacity of the kitchen and the workable space for the cook. The standout feature of this kitchen was all the hidden storage features! We added a pullout drawers and a spice organizer directly under the stovetop which was capable of holding and organizing over 50 spices and cooking utensils. Finally, a hidden pull out trash compartment was built to keep trash hidden from view. To cut costs we used granite tile instead of a solid slab and kept the grout lines to a minimum. This gave us the look of solid granite while remaining affordable. A custom backsplash with glass mosaic accents were designed with a center focal point above the stovetop. Under cabinet lighting including dimmers added to the luxury of this kitchen. After installing the granite composite sink and oil rubbed bronze faucet we finish the room by painting the walls and ceiling | $15k | Oklahoma City, OK
Salsbury Living Area Remodel | Jan 2012 | This 1970's home was built with characteristics of the era including few interior lights and closed off living areas. The homeowner wanted an open concept interior with more light. To begin we removed the wallpaper border and painted paneling. We then scraped the popcorn ceiling and re-textured everything. To open the space we needed to build temp walls to support the second story above and removed a large section of load bearing wall. An structurally sound LVL beam was installed to fully support the second story. There was a country style banister between the kitchen and living areas that had to be removed and we replaced all trim and base boards. To add a finished look to the living area we installed crown molding above the brick fireplace. To bring lighting into the rooms we installed recessed lights on dimmers. We also added pre-wired in-ceiling speakers to make this room friendly for entertaining. There were several surfaces to consider when choosing paint colors. We painted all trim white, bricks a complementary shade and walls and ceiling a beautiful neutral color. The entry stairway banister was painted black and white, had luxurious carpet and padding installed and a grand chandelier was put in the entry. Solid Brazilian teak wood floors were installed throughout the living area to complement the chosen paint colors. | $10k | Oklahoma City, OK
Master Closet | Jan 2011 | This client approached us with a dilemma of too small a closet and too many clothes. Upon his request we decided to take over a small bathroom that was behind the closet to effectively double the size of the closet. We proceeded to cap all the utilities and demo the entire bathroom giving us a clean slate to join the two rooms. After meticulous design consultations we installed new shelving, built a new cabinet, installed tie racks and other specialty hardware, recessed lighting, high quality carpet and painted everything to give this client the exact closet he wanted. He now has the closet space for his impressive wardrobe and racks for all 96 ties. | $18k | Nichols Hills, OK
Wallpaper Kitchen | Jan 2011 | This client wanted what we call a "basic kitchen remodel." This is where we salvage as much as possible while still giving a completely new look. For this kitchen we removed the wall paper, matched the texture of the adjacent walls and painted. We removed the countertops and backsplash then installed new countertops, custom travertine backsplash, cooktop and sink. We also installed under cabinet lighting to complete the look and enhance the details of the backsplash. | $4k | Oklahoma City, OK |
