Addition, Kitchen Dining Room Renovation

Jan 2014

This home addition was done for Craig and Marylou M. in Olmsted Falls Ohio. To help conserve money we worked with the architect and designed the addition to be built utilizing pole construction as opposed to regular foundation work. This allowed a greater allocation of the budget to be utilized on upgrading the brazillian cherry hardwood floors and custom built amish cabinetry in the new kitchen area plus utilization of Anderson Windows and granite countertops.

Bathroom Renovation

Oct 2013

This bathroom renovation was done in Westlake, Ohio for Lynn & Steve P. They came to us looking to remove an existing fiberglass jet tub and shower surround and replace it with large walk in shower area with a bench. The unit was to be fully customized to their specifications. Tile was picked out by Lynn and we designed the full layout and patterning of the tile chosen by Lynn. Additionally, Lynn and Steve were looking to replace all the existing cabinets and counters with a good quality cabinet and granite counter tops. The tile floor throughout the remaining space was in need of heating elements under the tile to help with the coolness of the tile and also helps to maintain even heat in the room during cold winter days. The shower was systematically assembled by first installing a 10 mil moisture barrier. Then we placed 1/2″ cement board around the walls and installed a pre-pitch drain/tray system in the floor. All joints were systematically sealed and then the tile was set grouted and sealed.
