Crystal Green Landscape, Inc.

I began using Crystal Green in January of 2018, bringing them in twice a month to cut my lawn and trim trees. At the start of the agreement I told the manager I had one primary requirement which was that they close my back gate when they left so that dogs wouldn't run out of the backyard when we let them out. Within a month the gate was left open. I called the manager and warned him if it happened again I would terminate the service. He apologized and said he would make sure it would never happen again. On Friday as we were leaving for a long weekend, his crew showed up I reminded them again to close the back gate. I texted my house sitter about checking the back gate before she let the dogs out. That night she texted back that is was a good thing I warned her about the gate as it was left wide open. After repeated calls I finally got a hold of Crystal Green and gave them my credit card to pay my outstanding bill and terminate service. They then proceeded to double charge me for the service, they also failed to tell me over the phone about the credit card service charge (this was in my contract signed in December, if told of the fee at the time of me giving my credit card I would have written them a check). They now want to mail me a check have me eat the service fee creating even more cost and wasted time on my part. At no point did Crystal Green offer discounts or outline how they were going to ensure their crews would close my gate moving forward. The actual lawn mowing was quite good, their customer service and attention to detail has been awful.
