Gate & fence repair & replenish

Nov 2015

Request: "Pressure wash fence boards to remove algae and built-up grime. The gate is difficult to open, and the dirt patch under it stays wet/ is retaining water." Solution(s): Despite the standing water, the fence and gate wood were PT and still in decent shape (no replacing necessary), so the project dovetailed into 1. pressure wash the front-facing fence section to freshen it up, 2. remove obstructing tree roots from pathway, and 3. form a gentle ditch in the grass area to allow water to drain away from fence easier. Once the roots and path were clear, the gate hinges were adjusted to allow free gate movement, then the latch was realigned for smooth operation. I provided the fuel, pressure washer, hoses, tools, and labor. Used homeowner's water supply.

Caulked, primed, and painted using customer's paint and supplies.

Residential Fence and Gate Repair

Dec 2015

Problem: Warped posts, stringers, and pickets. Gate latch will not keep the gate closed; kids and dog can get out easily. "Please fix the gate operation at least, and salvage pickets, if possible." Solution: The 8' section of fence, including one post, was replaced entirely (except 2 salvageable pickets) with new, premium pine PT lumber. Reconfigured existing latch, pull, and catch to allow smooth, consistent operation of gate. Pressure washed nearby portion to blend better. This is a prelude to 75' fence replacement.

New Blinds Installation

Oct 2011

This customer had bought fairly expensive operable blinds and wanted to have them professionally installed. We installed the 8 sets of blinds to exacting standards as required. 4 years later, the blinds still look great, despite minor adjustments necessary when rolling them up to keep the shade material level (drive ropes have stretched).
