Ray's Rural Garbage Collection

We have had Ray's Rural Garbage Collection service for a year, they get one star for at least picking up the majority of the trash we leave out. Our experience was that RRGC's customer service is sub par; good luck getting someone to answer the phone and when they do they're curt and rude. They won't take *ANY* yard waste to include leaves even though we put them in the biodegradable bags that you can get at Lowe's. (I believe Wal-Mart sells them, too) Yes, we're aware that their policy is that they won't pick up yard waste but WHO DOES THAT??? We've lived in MANY places and had MANY trash companies....and they ALL pick up leaves that are bagged!! If they're going to be behind schedule by a day due to a holiday (that was several days prior to your pickup day) you won't know it, your trash will just sit on the curb for a day or two. We requested one extra trash can, which we never received, but looking back they did us a favor because an extra can is $25 plus it's an extra $10 per month...for what I couldn't tell you. Consequently, if you leave anything out that's NOT in the trash can THEY give you (such as an extra bag of trash) they will not pick it up and they will not empty out your personal cans. We are moving this week so we're sending a certified letter in the mail cancelling our service so we know that they received it-- they don't answer their phones and with the way this company is run, I don't trust them not to continue to bill us. I want proof that they received our letter so that if I get billed continually I am not on the hook for their negligence. Bottom line: We chose them because the majority of our neighbors have their service with acception to one and, really, we settled for the service they provide so maybe we shouldn't complain, but for those who are interested in what the experience of others has been like-- there's ours. We would not recommend them at all.
