MICKEY MOUSE CONSTRUCTION!!! These people advertise as a Christian organization but they are CROOKS. They took my money and left the problems they made for me behind. They claimed that I "Nickel & Dimed them so I am not entitled to any money back" They agreed to all pricing. You can't decide at the end of the job that the price wasn't right so you quit. The truth is that they had a water leak behind the wall and they didn't want to fix it. I paid them around $3000. I went ahead and paid them in full with the agreement that they would finish up the next day. I should have known they wouldn't show up. I thought they were trustworthy Christian people. I was wrong. They were only there for about 16 days. They only worked ONE DAY A WEEK, IF AT ALL!! It took 4 months to remodel a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. They also stole a $50 box of screws, about 8 tubes of caulking, and a couple other boxes of screws. Who knows what else. I had them put in new floor joist's, plywood floors, hardiboard floor tile, bathtub, tile shower walls, extend wall around the tub, vanity, toilet, kitchen cabinets, countertop, interior & Exterior paint. I will go thru each item individually: Floor joists: These were installed VERY unlevel which made a domino effect thru the rest of the house. Plywood floors & Hardiboard: These were actually ok. Floor Tile: This is where it really gets bad. The tile has at least 1-1/2" of grout around the perimeter at the walls. There are areas of grout at the kitchen entrance that is 1" wide. None of the lines are straight, the tiles are VERY unlevel. In fact, it is almost impossible to get the wax ring of the toilet water tight because of the unlevel tile. Bathtub: They kicked in the bottom of the tub. Apparently there is no 2x4 holding the skirt. They also installed the plumbing for the shower head & tub spout and didn't glue the tub spout or put Teflon tape on the shower neck so there was water spraying everywhere in the wall. Vanity: They installed it with a 2x4 spacer between the vanity and the wall supposedly because of the pipes coming thru the side. They cut the back for the drain pipe, can't they cut the side? I had to reset the vanity myself, then I found that it was mounted to the wall with one screw that was only ý" into the plaster. He also had to ask me how to secure the sink to the vanity. He never installed the water supply or drain that he was supposed to. Toilet: First he had the flange installed on top of the tile and a ý" gap between the floor and the toilet. He brought this to my attention and then he said he would find out why it's like that. The next day it looked the same but he claimed it was fixed. I shook the toilet a little and it wobbled pretty badly. I told him that you are supposed to install the flange on the plywood, not on top of the tile. So, the next time he was out there, he installed the flange on the plywood and everything looked good. BUT the wax ring was leaking. I told him about it and the response I got was "Ok. . .yeah I kinda figured cuz it tore when we were installing the wax ring". Seriously??? Also, the gasket from the tank to the bowl was all kinds of jammed in where it was leaking. Kitchen Cabinets: I spent $1200 on the cabinets and Kingsmen Construction BEAT them UP. They installed every one of them crooked. They didn't butt up against each other. There were two boards laying on the floor that came from under the back of the cabinets. I had them move one over to butt against the other and they broke the cabinet by prying the front over to meet the other cabinet because they were too lazy to take it down and re-mount. They scratched up the kickboards and got grout all over them. Countertop: They broke it and tried to caulk it without telling me. It looked awful and he told me "I thought it was good enough for a rent house." I made them replace it at their cost. Interior & Exterior paint: There are multiple area that only had one coat that definitely needed two. I told them to go over some areas again and they never did it. Bedroom Paint: They put one mess of a coat with runs everywhere and ran out on me with my money.
