Remodeling Contractor - San Antonio, TX

Born and raised in beautiful San Antonio, Texas; I spent some time in the U.S. Navy, working on electronics and jet engines. Then on to dealing with large power grid measurements, working with CPS energy; attending Texas A&M and ERCOT, in Austin for Energy Measurements & engineering training. Everything I did was very technical, but I wanted more; the ability to use my creative talents. I decided to stop what I was doing and pursue an education in Architecture; this was one of the toughest, but yet most rewarding endeavors I had ever taken on. Somewhere along the way I found myself in Garcia Art Glass Studio, located in downtown S.A., where I was fortunate enough to learn the art of blowing glass, under two highly talented glass maestros. While continuing my Architecture studies, I was very fortunate to become a part of a great glass artist co-op here in San Antonio, called Caliente Glass Studio, where I am able to make most of my glass art and lighting, with the help of my wife Sandra, daughter Melia and other fellow glass artists. I have been able to merge my technical side and creative side through the art of Architecture, but have taken it much further, incorporating hand blown glass, stained glass, metal, and wood working. I formed Archetype Glass & Structural Design to showcase and put into practice, what I have learned through the teachings of top notch electrical engineers, great design and construction professors, and my glass apprenticeship; having surrounded myself with like-minded free thinkers, who range from artists, to architects, interior designers, and fellow builders. It is extremely rewarding to be able to push through the highs and lows of success and failure, to come to an understanding of what true passion for your career feels like. Thank you for taking the time to scratch the surface here, and I hope to develop as many long term relationships as possible, so don't hesitate to contact us with any question, task, or idea you may have.
