Hi Bill, I'm sorry you feel that way.
From our records, you first called on May 23rd for an estimate (a little over 2 months ago), and did not formally engage our services until July 25, with the work being performed and invoiced by July 31st. I apologize for any instances you called and did not get a return call. We?re a small business doing our best on a daily basis.
As for the cost, and this is true in nearly all of our jobs, we provide an estimate to the client before work begins of what we believe it will take to complete the job. In your case, it actually took more than the estimate to perform the work but we honored the estimate given of $925 (over 20% discount to cost).
In general, urge anyone that may use search engines for cost estimates to be careful of information provided. In the case of land surveying results, these searches result in cost ranges typically provided by real estate sales offices, banks or other home improvement directories and unfortunately do not reflect well on the true average of having a professional survey completed. There are way too many variables to performing this professional service that we don't even give a "ballpark" before we have a chance to look at the details.
Again, I'm sorry you feel that way but I wish you the best. Take care.
