Sandstone Pool Service

This company is a joke ! Al, the owner work s from an apartment and pretends to have a company, He is a liar and a bullshit artist. From the first day that he came over and gave me an estimate, nothing of what he said happened, He quoted me 125.00 dollars and end up charging me 485.00. When I called to ask about the difference, he started yelling at me. I fired him. Trust me when I tell you, DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON !!!!!!

We started out getting 3 estimates to refurbish our 20 year old pool plaster,tile,lights,heater. Albert gave us the most comprehensive bid with the least rigmarole. His crew came in ahead of time worked very hard clean and neat. Albert went over and above what we agreed to the whole project turned out great. I would definitely recommend Sandstone Pool Service for any of your pool projects.

We had Sandstone resurface our pool and repair and repaint our deck. Pool. After agreeing to Premium White marble Plaster, Sandstone resurfaced our pool. Once the pool was full we noticed that the walk out deck was showing cracks (Spider web shaped) and asked Albert to come look at it. He initially told us they would “go away after a while”, then when the company that he contracted to do the resurfacing showed up they agreed to resurface the pool again, but not the hot tube because it didn’t show any cracking. After resurfacing the pool again we noticed it didn’t look like the hot tub with it being pure white and the hot tub having a significantly more speckled look. We called Albert back out and he again told us that they would look the same after a "couple of weeks". They don't. He also told me they were not going to honor the pool start up and cleaning they offered in the contract. He said “Read the fine print” when I said it was in the contract. Here we are a couple of months later and the pool still does not look like the hot tub. We have had other pool companies come out for service on the equipment they told us that a cheaper plaster was used on the pool than the hot tub and that is why it looks different. Deck. The areas that they patched look significantly different than the rest of the deck. They look the same in texture, but the color is completely off from the rest of the deck making it look very blotchy. At the best Sandstone did a terrible job on our pool and deck. At worst it was both a terrible job and dishonest if Albert knew the resurface was being done with a different plaster as was explained by the other pool service company. My advice is think long and hard before contracting with this company.

We thought we'd share how thrilled we are with the results of our swimming pool renovation by Sandstone Pool Service. After extensive research of a variety of plaster (resurface) only, pool remodel only and full service companies, we decided it would be best to use a local full-service pool company. Our logic was that we deal with one company who can handle anything that may need to be done, like water features, stonework, tiles, as well as experts regarding the pool equipment and cleaning. Albert at Sandstone was among the very first of several companies we met with, and he left us with a professional proposal. He was one of the few that followed up with us several times to make ensure we didn’t have any questions left unanswered. After considering several different resurfacing options, we decided to go back with plaster since it served us so well for 18 years. It was an easy decision to have Sandstone do the job. As it turned out the day after our agreement was finalized, the stars aligned and Sandstone was able to get started quickly, instead of waiting a week or so. The next day a member of his team came by and quickly drained and prepped the pool for the new plaster. He worked very quickly and by the time he finished, our pool sure looked pretty scary! Since we had progress photos from when our pool was originally built, we thought it would be fun to take some more during this renovation. After a day or two, we got the call the pool was ready for the next step. The plastering team arrived and was in our backyard early in the day and began. The crew worked very quickly and efficiently. In just a few hours, we were refilling the pool! It looked every bit as gorgeous as it looked when it was new. The detailing of the plasterwork and the tile inlays look impeccable. There was virtually no trace the team or their equipment we even here once they left. The plastering team is a very talented and tidy group. Afterward, Albert made sure we were clear on the startup instructions (brushing twice daily, no automatic cleaner in the pool...). We couldn't be more thrilled with the job Sandstone Pool Service has done for us. Choosing Sandstone Pool Service was an excellent decision for us and we would not change a thing regarding our experience.
