ACE GARAGE DOORS OF TAMPA INC

We had the ARS home warranty service. After paying a $75 service call fee, ARS dispatched Ace Garage Doors. The technician told me that the replacement model that ARS would provide for free, would not be powerful enough to lift my wooden garage door. He then sold me a $275 "upgrade" (this is on top of the $75 fee). After the unit was installed, I discovered that it was a 1/2 horsepower motor. No garage door manufacturer makes a unit that is less than 1/2 horsepower (and some do make a 3/4 horsepower motor which I would understand as an upgrade.) So all in all, I felt very taken in by this technician for paying for an "upgrade" that I did not receive.
