Tri-River Design & Construction is a custom homebuilder located in Washington County. Currently, Tri-River is the exclusive homebuilder at Spindle Court @ Summerbrooke in North Strabane Township (Canon McMillan School District), near Southpointe and Donaldson's Crossroads only minutes from Route 19 and I-79.

We looked at many new houses in various stages of construction and interviewed builders large and small. As I have a construction back-ground, we were able to evaluate workmanship and material quality of two Tri-River projects in progress. After eight years of looking, we contracted with Tri-Rivers to build our 'dream house'. We choose a lot on Spindle Ct. in Summer Brooke. Deed transfer, all exterior and interior materials and color selections were made in T-R office. As Doug Hyrb is the T-R owner and architect, all house modifications were easily done in T-R office. Our appliances were bought thru the Lowes manager that a real working real relationship with T-R. House construction started and finished on schedule without issues or addition cost. Construction 'walk thoughs' and adjustments made without problems. If we were to build another home, Tri-River Design would be our builder. We moved to Pennsylvania from Virginia last year to be nearer family. How fortunate we were to notice that a new section was going to be built within the Summerbrooke subdivision. We discovered that Tri-River was the developer and contacted Doug Hyrb directly. We soon discovered the professionalism of both Doug and Barb, his Construction Coordinator. Also, Doug's construction expertise became quite evident early in the process. The process of selecting the style of house and the associated details was efficient and painless. Detailed selections were made directly from his office in a one stop shop process. We had the utmost confidence in Tri-River during construction although we lived 300 miles away in Virginia. Doug's on-site supervisors are dedicated, confident and friendly. We purchased the first house on Spindle and have now occupied it for 15 months with no major issues. We know that we will enjoy our Tri-River built house for many years to come.

We have built a number of homes over the years each with a different contractor. Tri-River (Doug Hyrb) is by far and away the best contractor we have worked with. In the past when we have built a home, I felt the need to be at the construction site daily to make sure things were getting done on time and correctly. Not so with Tri-River and their construction of our new condo. In fact, we were not even in town for most of the construction work. Doug is detail oriented and stays on top of everything from both a work quality and timing perspective. He kept us informed and was always available to answer questions. The design process was efficient and painless. Our condo was completed on time, on budget and with a very short, minimal punch list before we took possession. Doug is great and we would recommend Tri-River to anyone looking build a quality home.

I am delighted with the home I purchased from Tri-River Design. Features that friends paid extra for in a new home were STOCK items in my new patio home: beautiful substantial crown molding and woodwork perfectly installed, granite counters throughout, sink and cabinetry in large laundry, special railings and banister. The owner and his assistant made the task of picking design features totally stress-free. After almost 2 years I am still delighted with my new home.
