In business for over 30 years we are a small, family owned company. We began as most businesses do, in the backyard. Ann Beeson, the owner and founder of Shade Tree started by finding discarded pieces of furniture by the side of the road or at yard sales and re-upholstering them to sell. When her needs to buy fabric began to grow she realized that having her own personal fabric store would be a great way to not only care for the needs of her resale business but also another product to sell. Thus the fabric aspect of our company began. Within a few short years the business had grown to overflowing in her backyard and she moved to a larger retail space. There the business grew by leaps and bounds and we gained quite a loyal following.
