Handyman - Allison Park, PA
5.0
I offer a wide variety of Handyman Services, ranging from plumbing, electrical, painting, finish and rough carpentry, yardwork, pressure washing, etc. I have always done my own work, beginning as a teenager at my parents' home, thru the homes that I have owned through the years with my family. I decided to make this a business endeavor that can supplement my income as a management professional that provides me personal enjoyment and satisfaction at the same time. I take pride in my work and want to be sure that my customers are fully satisfied and feel that they have been dealt with fairly. I am licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a Home Improvement Contractor.

Marty did a great job! The drywall project came out far better than we expected. Marty is very meticulous and obviously loves being a handyman

Panel Box | Jul 2016 | Another project for my mother's house. I replaced the existing box that used the old screw-type fuses with a new, 100 amp service. | Bradford, PA
Gunbuggy | Oct 2017 | I built this for my neighbor. It is a baby stroller that was modified to hold three shotguns or rifles (yes, the gun club actually requires that the barrels point up). There was some welding involved and some creative use of materials found at any hardware store. | Allison Park, PA
Replace Storm Drain Cover | Sep 2017 | Replace a Storm Drain Cover that I had built when I was in high school (late 70's). I used railroad ties, cut lap joints and set them in place (after building up the base on which they laid). I re-set the interior that was built using flat rocks, then mortared them into place. | Bradford, PA
Bathroom Remodel | Apr 2017 | This was the bathroom in our house. I gutted it and replace all of the fixtures. I used ceramic tile for the tub surround and floor. It is one of my signature projects. | Allison Park, PA
Full Size Bed | Aug 2016 | My daughter and I built this bed for her college apartment and, hopefully, for her grandkids to inherit someday. I designed it and we built it using pine lumber. It's a stout piece of furniture that looks great and will last for many years. | Allison Park, PA
Install a drain for an A/C Unit that is mounted in the attic | May 2016 | I did this for my friends. They had an A/C unit installed in the attic that had no drain pan or properly configured drainage system. I modified the install to suspend the unit from the roof rafters, allowing me to install a drain pan under the unit and then correctly plumb in the drains. | Pittsburgh, PA
Tankless Heater setup for a 70 gallon whirlpool tub | Jan 2016 | In 2012, I remodeled the bathroom off of our master bedroom. It has a 70 gallon whirlpool tub that is fed from a 40 gallon water heater (the math doesn't work here). So, I added a small electric tank-less heater with the option of feeding hot water from either it or the household gas heater. It works well and only needs to be used for bathing, using the household heater for showers. | Allison Park, PA
Install a pre-hung door | Nov 2015 | Install a solid pine, pre-hung door for a powder room. This was on our house as part of an overall remodel of the downstairs entryway and powder room. | Allison Park, PA
Chimney Repair | Aug 2015 | Repair weather-damaged chimney. This was on my mother's house. It involved dismantling the damaged brick, chipping away the old mortar, then re-assembling it. I also sealed the cap to prevent further water penetration. | Bradford, PA |
