Empire Roofing & More says: When purchasing a new roof or exterior renovation most home and business owners, as well as facility managers believe they must choose between the following: A reasonable or fair price accompanied by the promise of a good quality installation. Many times this is accompanied by poor communication with the contractor, scheduling difficulty, and a less than professional experience. A professional experience, quality installation, the best products and warranties, and complete confidence that your expectations will be met. The difficulty is that this is typically accompanied with a High price. Empire Roofing & More believes that you should and can receive both - let us show you how!

Empire installed my roof. Within the first couple months I got water in my attic, which I never had in the 10 years of living here. It was condensation, because they did not put on the right ridge vent. I called, they got extremely angry, said it was my side vents, told me it would cost $2700 to fix. I told them no after the research I did, it was the ridge vent. I talked them into putting one on, they were vile, cursing on my roof while putting it on, telling me how terrible I was, it was embarrassing. They do not understand airspace and all the details of putting on a roof. They slap it down and give no support after. They also charged me $178 to file paperwork with GAF which takes seconds to fulfill. I called GAF and said they are allowed to charge me anything they want to complete the warranty paperwork. The winter ended this year and there was water spots in the bedroom. Turns out they did not replace the flashing, used the old one, and the roof is leaking. In addition they never checked the chimney stack, which was leaking. I called and once again, they were angry. They came out, said it was not their issue, which it clearly was, it should have been done while installing the roof. They said to fix it would be $3,000 to $6,000, for a couple pieces of particle board and flashing, that costs about $50. I called someone else, even though I had the Golden Pledge Warranty, Life Time Warranty Roof. I had someone else come and they informed me they did not put on the Golden Pledge Warranty Roof, so now I do not have the lifetime warranty roof. They cut corners and did not put down the necessary items to obtain the Golden Pledge Warranty Roof. I called Empire and told them, more anger. He told me that he would charge me 3 to 4 times his rate if he had to come and check my roof. Also he is the ONLY person that can touch that roof or I void my warranty. So I am being forced by Empire to have them charge me 3 to 4 times the amount or I cannot get my roof fixed. I called GAF. They set up a case, sent someone out. The guy comes to look in the attic, no light, no tools, nothing. He was extremely disorganized and had to borrow my light to look in the attic. I have taken extensive pictures in the attic and you can clearly see the water is coming from the decking / flashing by the chimney box that should have been fixed by Empire. He says it is all the chimney stack, not the flashing. It is GAFs way to not honor their warranty and cover the mistake and poor workmanship of Empire. I contacted the CEO and President of NA for GAF. They pushed me to a Senior Advisor for GAF, who never called me back, after two emails and a phone call. I got the name of the regional GAF rep, who would not call me back either. I kept calling and he finally called me back. He did not care and told me he is on vacation and did not have time for me, then he hung up on me. Empire was suppose to put on a lifetime warranty Golden Pledge Warranty roof, which requires Weather Guard all around the perimeter of the roof and along the ridge vent, which they did not do. They also cut corners by not replacing the flashing and checking any other part of the roof, which was leaking at the time. When I called them they became extremely belligerent, angry, and blamed me calling me "the worst customer ever". I would never use Empire for anything. Their work was subpar and not done in a way that would honor your warranty with GAF. I would advise anyone who had work done by them to find a qualified person to go check your roof, to ensure that they put on exactly what they said and that you have the warranty you were suppose to get. It is a huge warning to anyone thinking of going with Empire. Also stay away from GAF, they will not warranty their stuff and in the end you will be left with a roof that will not be covered by their "Golden Pledge Warranty." Both parties will do whatever they want and will not honor their products.

Very professional and fast!

Empire Roofing was thoroughly professional throughout every aspect of our siding work. They were polite, attentive to detail, responded to questions quickly, and did exactly what they said they would do. They cleaned up every day they did work and their final clean up was exemplary. We highly recommend!!
