Cowboy Septics & Construction

After contacting Charles Mager the owner of Cowboy Septics and Construction in November 2016, signing a contract for work in December 2016 and paying a deposit of several thousand dollars in January 2017, being completely permitted for installation in February 2017 I am still waiting. He had scheduled an installation of my septic tank 3 times and has not shown up nor called to cancel. If you call the number for Cowboy Septics and Construction, you will get Charles Mager's voicemail no matter what time you call nor how many times you call. However, if you call Cowboy Septics and Construction from a number unknown to Charles Mager, he will answer and give you a line of excuses to include "(He )was sick... too sick to call" or he was on a tractor working and didn't hear your ring but just stopped long enough to hear the ring from another person's number (potential victim I mean customer) . My favorite one though was "My truck broke down and when I got out to fix it I broke my phone so I couldn't let you know". Funny thing though, he goes on to tell me how he had to call his friend to help him tow his truck to the shop. As of last week i officially fired him and requested muy money back. As a parting shot he made my refund check uncashable (wrong name) so I'm having to seek criminal charges in addition to civil suit to recover my deposit and legal fees. My concern is that when I searched him, I read only one negative review and it didn't seem plausable after Charles Mager responded. I am not doing this to be vindictive, but to readily inform the people of Canyon Lake, New braunfels, Spring Branch, Bulverde, San Marcos and other surrounding areas about the problems I have had with cowboy septic and Construction. I have had several more installers come out to bid my job and they have said things like"I've heard that he does that" or "i know who he is because I've had to repair his work". If other people posted reviews about this scam artist then i would not have fallen in this mess and I'd have facilities in my cabin right now. Please be warned all shopping for a septic.
