Family Builders LLC

I purchased a home in Ashley Plantation in 2012. The home was approximately two years old then and built by Family Builders. Approximately 18 months ago, severe leaking of the front windows began when it rained. (I have videos of the severe pouring in of rain water) As it was severe, I had to correct the problem immediately to protect the home from structural damage. I contacted a local contractor who diagnosed the problem as a misinstalled roof which baked from the inside due to no ventilation. ( I have a written signed statement and many pictures to document the situation) The roof had failed. I had to have it replaced immediately which I did. I subsequently spoke with an attorney who sent a letter describing the situation to Family Builders asking for fair remedy. They did not respond. I spoke with the principle at family builders approximately one month after the letter. He stated that he would not cover any of the cost because he says he could have corrected it for far less. It's unfortunate that he is unwilling to stand behind his work. The home is beautiful inside. But I know I will never use this company or recommend them to anyone. They couldn't even install a roof correctly after all.
