Instead of helping, guiding or assisting with problems after the installation of our home, the Vice president of the company, who sold us our home, don't consider your problems a priority. As you can see from pictures that we plumbed in our home correctly but the drop downs were not installed correctly, nor was the tub even hooked up to the drop in. There were no "P-traps" like stated in a reply on another review because the 2 bath/tub shower drains were completely covered by duct board, not dropped in at all.. Even a good contractor would assume the housing company would have plumbed the house in correctly, and water tests were performed where possible as there were noted during our walk through in September that there were kinked water lines and the handle to turn the water on in the tub of the second bath fell off and was an item also needing repaired. Also the fact the shower's grout wasnt sealed, which we were not informed by this retailer and found out by reading home's installation manual we found in the drawers, we weren't risking ruining the grout and didn't want water touching it until sealed. So prior to finding this drain issue, it was impossible to test until those items were completed. So we left a note for the repairman that was sent down the day after we moved our stuff in, (please note they had nearly 9 weeks since our walk through to fix items which after 6 weeks notified of our Nov 14th move in date letting us know someone will be there the week of the 7th but didn't show up until the 15th), to take a look at the leak, we were informed by Troy later the next day it was our issue and they aren't responsible for the plumbing. We know they aren't responsible for OUR plumbing but were informed everything would be stubbed in with modular homes by Troy himself. After we make a big deal about not being able to take a bath in our new home, he informs us he never wanted to put a home down here for us from the beginning (but super eager to sell it to us in June 2020!) And that he would knock $1000 off the last draw from the bank and we go our separate ways.....he's seen our place 1 time over the 17 months of a relationship we have had with him and we spoke to him 2 times in person. Any good owner, manager or customer representative would have made an effort to give beneficial suggestions, initiate a visit to see the problem for themselves and taken care of the issues to prevent bad reviews on your company. But how should I know? I'm not a contractor, but I've always focused on being the best at my 1 full time job in customer service making a decent living and too busy outside of that job being a mom to my daughter, calming down my significant other you basically insulted, and wasting time writing this review to hopefully save others from receiving poor customer service. If you're over a phone call away from Laurel Mountain Homes, save yourself the hassle and go to Route 21 and deal with his brother or someone else. At least their crew likes to work and their sales people were very helpful finding this home. Just wish it would've been with them from the getgo. We do love our home and happy to finally be in it after all this time patiently with all the run around we have been given, pushing us to do things to get the place ready for delivery (I was installing sill plates in the rain with my guy on mother's day as it sounded like they were coming the next day) only to wait 2 months for it to be delivered and 3 more weeks for it to be set, and now who knows how long it will be to finish the trimming/repairs which is quite upsetting, paying for an unfinished home.
