I should give negative stars. The owner was contacted by my home warranty. He's a morbidly obese man who couldn't even get into the attic. He made my wife assist in picking up the old unit and carrying it to his truck because he didn't bring anyone with him. He also put the new outside ac in crooked so it's this haphazard mess in my yard and it's hard to mow. Unprofessional.

TL, DR: The technician, Jerry, is a very pleasant and professional man, but the wonder Dale is rude, unpleasant, and has no qualms with yelling at your wife on the phone. Avoid this company. This will be a lengthy review. Our experience with Cotten’s started fine but ended terribly. The technician, Jerry, that came out initially was very professional and easy to deal with. He diagnosed our AC issues and determined we needed a new coil and condensing unit. He sent an estimate to my Home Warranty provider and we approved the non covered cost and were told by our Home Warranty that the parts would be ordered and that Cotten’s would call us next to schedule an install date. After about a week later I contacted Jerry and he told me to call our Home Warranty and talk to them about the parts order because it had not come in yet. We spoke with our Home Warranty and were told to contact Cotten’s about the parts order because the coil that was ordered was incorrectly sized. My wife contacted Jerry that same day and he told her that he would contact his boss, Dale, about it and get back to us within a couple of hours. We didn’t hear back from Jerry that day and simply sent him a text message the next day asking for an update to see if he we needed to get back in touch with our Home Warranty. She was not rude or disrespectful in her text to Jerry and we were simply looking for an update. We were not expecting Jerry or Dale to jump up and down and rush over to her home. We were just trying to stay on top of things and see if our Home Warranty was holding things up with the parts order and if we needed to get in touch with them. A few moments after this text was sent by my wife to Jerry (who had still be pleasant to deal with) she received a phone call from Dale who started yelling at her and dropped us as a client and told my wife “do not contact my technician again or else”. About a week prior to this Jerry told me that Dale had a death in the family and I understand that would cause many hardships with a business and I totally sympathize with the situation. However, this does not excuse the unprofessional and rude behavior by Dale towards my wife with his threats and language. Dale also had my phone number and could have called me but instead chose to harass my wife at work. I find it odd that he would call my wife rather than me, but from what I understand and based on other reviews his behavior towards women is very sexist and degrading. Had Dale simply called me and explained that they were backed up and did not have time to deal with us then I would have thanked him for his time and requested a new service provider through my Home Warranty. I myself and an electrical contractor and my mother died 4 years ago and I never once called any of my customers to yell at them on the phone. His behavior is inexcusable and not conducive to good business practices. Once again, his technician Jerry was very pleasant to deal with, but I would avoid this company as a whole due to his boss, Dale and his behavior.

Our warranty company contracted them to come check our AC unit. They called and let us know they would come by the next morning between 8am-noon. They never asked for a number or contact info, just asked that someone be home. The next morning I wait from 8am-4pm and got no calls, no contact and nobody came. I call to see why nobody came and before I can finish my sentence to ask, the man says "we called three times and nobody answered so we arent coming and we are cancelling the service request" so now our newborn is without AC in the middle of June until the cancellation is processed and I can file another request, which will be at least another two days. Thanks alot.
