Termite Damage Repair

Nov 2014

Every termite damage repair is different. In this case we "sistered" 25 joists and replace 35 feet of the building's sill and band board. Repairing the floor system is phase 1 of this project. Phase 2, repairing termite damage within the walls, is scheduled for early 2015. Termite damage is often hidden and tricky to estimate. By employing methods of structural replacement we have learned over the years, we were able to completely repair this floor system for well under the amount quoted.

OCEAN VIEW - Re-build Corner Pilasters

Aug 2014

SCOPE OF WORK: We re-built the corner pilasters on a Circa 1850, Federal style home. The material used is cellular PVC boards and moldings. The building had been lovingly restored by the current owner in the early 1970's. We worked closely with him on design and material choices. This building also houses an antique print shop, so staying true to the flavor of the Federal style was not just important from an aesthetic standpoint but also because the structure itself is a telescoping device for the business. This home is believed to be one of the oldest in Ocean View, Delaware.
