Brick Maverick

I had $3,500 of mortar work done on our chimney on 7/24/21. The job was completed at 10 pm at which time I was told that they had another job in the neighborhood the following week and that they would drop by to confirm that there were no surprises as it was so dark out. A request was made to pay the balance in full in spite of it being so late. I paid them in good faith in spite of not being able to see anything as it was well after sunset. That was my mistake. The job was completed eight weeks ago. Upon inspection the day after completion, I was able to see a number of issues that need to be addressed. There was a pair of pliers that had slid down the roof during the work and were dangling from the gutter. There is a significant amount of highly visible debris on the roof which I assume are clumps of ground up mortar from the chimney. It was my hope that this would wash away after a hard rainfall. It has not. I am unable to address either of these myself as the area in question is approximately 35’-40’ above ground and the roof has a very steep pitch. I contacted the guy who did the actual work and told him of these two issues. He told me that that he would come out to address them both. There is a visible scratch in the guttering near the worksite that went sufficiently deep so as to go through the painted surface and expose bare metal. The roof and guttering are only eight months old so I know, without a doubt, that the scratch was not present when they began their work. Additionally, and the most disconcerting, is the fact that I can tell from what is visible from the ground, that the job is incomplete. Binocular inspection confirms this. The sales guy, who was indeed very friendly prior to the job, now won’t acknowledge any of my phone calls, voice messages or texts. I emailed another employee of the company (who I believe to be the sales guy’s brother). He replied to the email informing me that the company owner had recently passed away unexpectedly and that there has been a lot going on as a result of his death. This is totally understandable and I have waited now for eight weeks before posting this review giving the family (it is a family-owned business) plenty of time to grieve, get things in order, and resume normal business operations. I told him that I was very sorry to hear of the owner’s passing and that I would keep the family in my prayers – which I have. In his email, he also told me that he is aware of the pliers and the debris on the roof and asked what else needs to be addressed. I explained to him that I am able to see that the job is incomplete and asked that he call me so that we can discuss it. He is also now unresponsive. Multiple phone calls, text messages and emails have gone unreturned. Totally unresponsive. They simply don’t care. I would think that eight weeks is plenty of time for them to resume mostly normal operations and respond to the concerns of customers who have paid in full. On their invoice, they request that the customer contact the company if the customer is unable to provide a 5-star review so that they can resolve any issues. I did just that and I have heard nothing but crickets since. They also boast about providing a 5-year warranty. Yeah, right. They won’t even make good on the work they did eight weeks ago. Don’t walk, but rather run, and run fast, away from Brick Maverick/Brick Force.

I hired Brick Maverick to install a retaining wall along the back of our property. I was totally amazed of the outcome of the job and very well pleased with everything they did. Very professional crew, customer service was great and everything was completed on the scheduled time period. I recommended them to anyone that needs any brick work done. Thanks Guys, great job. I recently chose Brick Maverick to repair a retaining wall in my back yard. I was so pleased with the professionalism and integrity that this team brought to the table. They completely surpassed my expectations and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with this team of individuals. During the process of the project I never once had to worry about any unnecessary issues arising, and I don't think I would have had this wonderful of an experience with any other company. I hired Brick Maverick to rebuild a wall on the corner of my house. They exceeded my expectations beyond the quality and results I anticipated. Nick has a great attitude and was able to answer any questions I had and a detailed description of the actual process in which the work is done. Jose and his crew arrived on time and very customer friendly. They were able to get an exact match of the bricks that were replaced. The custom mortar color match was perfect. This company does an amazing job with warranties and service no other masonry repair company offers. I recommend these guys to anyone who wants quality, worry free work done to their home or place of business.
