Emerald State is a locally owned and operated small business. We are located in the heart of Kirkland, and this helps us to be able to commute with ease to the areas we work the most. We take great pride in our customer service and making sure that a job we do, is a job done right. We have many references available upon request. Large companies tend to get impersonal and unresponsive; the responsibility changes too many times during a project. I'm with the customer the whole way from door-knock to drive-away. The big guys have lots of employees and lots of fixed overhead. Most of my expenses are variable and flex with the market conditions. When bigger companies' overhead forces them to take losses or cut job quality, I don't have to. Unlike smaller companies, I am big enough that I run the business without carrying a hammer. I'm not trying to bridge the gap between being a worker AND a small business person. Companies with lowball quotes, where the owner also carries a hammer, are often less skilled at running a business and providing on-going support and warranty. But my expertise is in running a business profitably with happy customers while understanding the roofing, siding and window craft. My company is optimized for flexibility while providing on-going quality. My grand-dad did it, my dad did it, and now I'm doing it. We are CertainTeed Select Shinglemaster Certified.
