Excellent value. Excellent to keep appointment. Excellent responsiveness in communication.
Great experience overall.
We recently hired them to do a job. It did get done but with a lot of bumps in the road. The first problem was he was never on time or even close. That was the first red flag. When he finally did show up he had no tools or equipment for the job. One would...
BEWARE: DONALD R. SHAW (Colorado Roots, LLC and Shaw Landscaping, LLC). This individual took a large sum of money from us as a down-payment to build a patio in our backyard. Two separate contracts were drawn up for the job and SHAW failed to ever start t...
My mother-in-law, a caretaker for people with disabilities who lives alone, hired Donald Shaw to do a fair amount of work at her place. After she gave him more than $1,700 to get started, he did one hour of work, then disappeared. She finally got him to a...
I'm very conflicted writing this review. On the one hand the job finally got completed and is OK. On the other hand if I'm being honest, I wouldn't hire this landscaper again for 2 main reasons. First because he isn't able to communicate clear, honest ti...
We hired Donald Shaw (Colorado Outdoor Living And Landscaping LLC) to do some bathroom remodel items. Job was agreed upon with (THANK GOD) no money given but a signed contract. He was supposed to start today (9/20/21) at 7am. He finally made contact with ...
Do not be fooled by this company! Beware of the shrewd and conniving sales person - she is actually the wife of the contractor. She pretends to be a friendly person and then becomes the client's worse nightmare: unresponsive, rude and condescending. Prici...
I’ll let the images speak for themselves assuming images can be posted. I had to ask project manager Carlos to leave the job as he couldn’t speak truth and my wife was beside herself. He would not comply with our yard design, would often say he forgot. A ...
We had our entire front and back yard landscaped with them. I was concerned that we were doing the planting in late September and expressed concern that the plants would survive. Two roses did not. I emailed 5/26 to replace per warranty and I was told tha...

Backyard, N-facing AllenBlock retaining.wall. East-1/2 of wall is two levels, with lower wall securely in place. The upper wall (16i" of inter-blocks,, + 4" caps on top of base course, is dry-stacked with internal-draining pea gravel. There is ~20' space between the lower- and upper-walls filled with garden soil (to be saved). The upper wall has settled 1-1/2 inches, and need to be disassembled and properly reset, with a footer-pier set on the east end to anchor the wall-end in place.
3-ft. wide X 65-ft of flagstones (presently pre-positioned) are to be set into a layer of soil-base for a front-to-backyard sidewalk where there is presently 1-2" river rock mulch cover. 2-3 flats of Creeping Thyme will then be planted into the soil to infill the sidewalk soil. I want the project completed before lawn-grass/sprinkler ops begin this spring.
