Michael is a Master Carpenter & Master Roofer and is highly skilled in all aspects of roof installations but, chooses to specialize in asphalt & Cedar shake applications. He is punctual, detail-oriented, responsive, communicative and flexible. There was never any question when the work would be done, and that he would stand by its quality. With so many other contractors in the area, it's like pulling teeth to get a quote and any kind of follow up. Mike put a roof (half- at my request) on my home that is rated for 130 mph winds. Looks beautiful, and I have peace of mind to boot. 11-06-2017 Review by Rick P. in Torrington, CT Project: Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof I contacted Michael to quote a full strip and replacement of a roof on a home I was in the process of purchasing in Point Harbor N.C. on Aug 24th of 2017. I live in Connecticut and was a little concerned when selecting a contractor being so far away. Michael was back to me within 2 day's with the quote and a number a pictures explaining his quote that beat the others and his included architectural Life Time shingles where as the other quotes were for standard 3 tab. I gave Mike a deposit on Sept. 9th before the closing and he assured me he would return it if we didn't complete the sale. There was an area that was leaking that Mike was concerned with, Mike went back there immediately and did a temporary repair to stop further damage and again sent pics showing his work. It turns out we never finalized the closing until Monday Oct 23rd! We kept in contact the whole time and he was there on Tuesday Oct. 24, the day after the closing to start the Job! The Job was completed by Mike and his crew the "NEXT DAY"! As usual Mike sent numerous pics throughout the striping and re-roofing process... AWESOME JOB...and HIGHLY recommend Mike as a HONEST contractor who keeps his word and goes over and above to ensure the highest quality of workmanship. We had a 6"x12" hole directly in to our attic. At 7:30 PM I found American Remodeling Roofing and Concrete Specialists on Home Advisor and sent an email from the business website. At 6:49 AM on Sunday we received an email from Mike asking us to call him. We called at 12:30 PM...by 3:30 PM on Sunday Mike was on our roof making the repairs! Incredible service at a very fair, reasonable price. In fact we gave him more than he asked for the repairs because he was so responsive and put our problem ahead of his own plans for Sunday afternoon! This kind of service in the Outer Banks is rare...great job Mike.
