Your way home improvement

I hired Ron Hedrick of Your Way Home Improvement, LLC in October 2021 to help me rehab a house, which I was planning on using as a rental property. We had a written contract which stated I would make weekly payments, which I did. At first Ron and his crew worked on the house everyday, and the work was excellent. Things were going along smoothly until January, when Ron told me that he split up with his wife, and he was going to Florida. He came back in February, and I continued to pay him weekly, but soon after I noticed that he was not working on the house as diligently as before. He even ended up breaking the main water line and just left it that way. I had paid him the total amount of our contracted agreement at this point. When discussing this with Ron, he said that he'll figure it out, and promised to get the job done as agreed upon. He then told me he had gotten into a dangerous situation and had to leave town. Ron eventually contacted me on March 31, 2022, and the plan was for him to continue to work on the house starting April 4th, 2022. He never went back to work on the house. In every communication with him he said he would start later in the week or the beginninng of the following week. On May 13th, he sent me a text saying he was sorry about everything, and just had too much going on. He never reimbursed me for payment. He hasn't returned any phone calls or corresondence since then. Eventually I went to the Attorney General and the BBB for assistance. Ron ingnored all communications from those agencies as well.
