99 North Renovations & Construction llc

We found Josh Medugno's company 99 North Renovations & Contracting through THUMBTACK last December 13, 2016.The job entailed finishing a portion of our basement into a family room/extra bedroom. Contract was signed electronically Dec. 15 There were many delays along the way. Invoice 20141114 Total price $10,000. paid 9,500.00 included walls, electrical, floors etc. Last thing done was finishing the floor and a RADIENT heating pad was put down and tiled over. Control put in by electrician who could not get it to work. Said there was disconnect between wires, pad and control. We assumed there are pinched wires causing a disconnect. Mr. Medugno setup an appointment with the floor manufacturer for May 24th. They never showed up and we have not heard from Mr. Medugno since he set this up (allegedly 5 weeks out from electrician finding issue) . We have emailed, called and texted Mr. Medugno many many times before and after May 24th. No response. He told us he was going to show up before the manufacturer of heat pad and try checking with a tool he rented/bought. Never got back to us. If something is wrong with the heatpad the floor tiles on top will need to be pulled up to find the issue or at least checked electronically with some special sensor tool to see where disconnect is. Well, he agreed to come back AGAIN and never called us to setup getting things fixed. Now other things electrically are going wrong including lighting in the ceiling. Stay as far away from this contractor as possible. BBB was no help btw. He'll take your money and RUN...

creates more damages throughout the home than originally hired to fix. Subcontractors are on an active manhunt for him for writing bad checks. Uses other GCs for permits and leaves quite a wake in his path of destruction. Police, building inspectors, BBB, Attorney General, licensing boards, Channel 7 News are all getting involved. Fiasco! Buyers beware... Do your homework first. Run a background check, check that he has more than an HIC license and is fully insured and not claiming to be because he's hoping sites like Porch and Thumbtack will cover him. Also, if you see 99 North LLC, 99 North Windows & Doors, 99 North Renovations & Construction- ALL THE SAME MAN. All allegedly out of business.

This guy Josh is a scam artist ,he has ruined our home,left it in shambles,stolen jewelry,has taken 25k and has not paid any contractors,he has a hic license who ch means nothing,he is not licensed to do any work,he fired all the licensed contractors and brought in family members who stole and had no clue what they were doing,currently the bbb is investigating him,the attorney general as well as contractors who he screwed in the permit,he also did the same thing to a family that n melrose mass,he's a thief with no skills besides stealing and conning,this company is not licensed to do any work,,stay away
