About Alvin J. Singleton Roofing
In 1969, Orzel Singleton decided there was a great need in Sarasota. As a professional roofer, he installed most of the new roofs for the Amish builders in Sarasota County. However, he also saw many of his friends and neighbors being taken advantage of by dishonest "roof repair contractors." The sad part was that, for honest contractors like Orzel, he faced an uphill battle convincing people that he was different. That there really were honest contractors who believed in honest and integrity. That doing business meant doing right by others. So, he decided to do something about it. He created a better way to treat customers by bringing expert roofing knowledge, honesty and integrity to his fellow Sarasotans. It's that "Golden Rule of Roofing" that Singleton Roofing is founded upon. It's also the same principle that Orzel passed onto his son, Alvin.
