Tired of home maintenance year after year? Turn to Atlantic Coastal Enterprises. We offer a variety of residential and commercial home improvement services in Jacksonville, North Carolina. We have been in business for 30 years. When you hire us, we guarantee a hassle-free service with excellent results. The commencement of Atlantic Coastal Enterprises dates back to the late 1980s. First established in Ontario, Canada. Brian Bryce was not too enthused with 40 below and five feet of snow. The business then moved to North Carolina, basing the business out of Wilmington for almost 20 years. Instead of downsizing when the economy took a turn for the worst, he opened two more locations in Military towns. Those towns did not realize that the rest of the world was in a recession! To make them as competitive as possible, they started buying all of their products direct from the factory to keep cost down. Charging the same as their competitors, they strive to deliver a top-notch and quality job. The business is thriving now. Instead of shrinking, they expanded. They do everything to manufacturer recommendations, and they give each of their customers a peace of mind of with a 10-year workmanship warranty, as well as a manufacturer lifetime warranty. ACE was contracted with us to replace the siding on our house in Wilmington, NC. They had done work for others in our neighborhood with good reviews. We gave Brian a deposit (foolishly) and never saw him again. No work was completed, no money refunded, just gone. Went to court, sued and won judgements against ACE for the original amount and damages. (case number 05cvd356). We have never seen a penny of this money. Pursued ACE through the N.C. legal system and find out that there are DOZENS of others in SE N.C. chasing Brian for money and fixing the work that he has actually completed. I am not a former employee, just an irritated former customer who was ripped off. Maybe this will keep others from the same fate. This company currently does business primarily in the Jacksonville, NC area. Wherever I see this company advertised, I will share my experience so others do not get taken like I did.Caveat Emptor!

I am several months late submitting this review because I Just now saw this review site and I want to ensure that my experience with the owners of this company get spread to as many people as possible so that hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to them. I am certainly not saying that you will automatically have a horrible experience if you Do hire them. I am simply stating what happened to us. Good luck if you decide to go with them. On 26 March 2016 we entered into a contract with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises specifically to install vinyl siding on the entire house(home size 1250 sq ft), construct new walls on rear enclosed porch and install 5 windows and 1 door, build a front porch, extend the garage by 7 feet, and install stone on the chimney and front of garage. The price was reasonable and both B**** and S**** started off very professional and sounded convincing that this would be a low stress venture. The job began with the rear porch. It got completed in April(took 3 days to complete). The vinyl siding began next on 12 May 2016. That was an ongoing project until the house was completed. On 23 June 2016, construction began on the front porch(took 3 days to complete). Next was the garage extension which began on 28 June 2016(took 2 days from the time they poured the concrete to completion). I could keep going on the detailed account of each phase of completion. The point that I wish to make clear is this. The individual workers that Atlantic Coastal Enterprises hired were excellent. Atlantic Coastal Enterprise themselves was substandard. The most detailed portion of the job which was the porch, garage, and chimney(keep in mind, this also was the last items to be completed)took only 38 days to complete. The entire job finally was completed on 16 August 2016(4 1/2 months to complete). Realistically, a whole house from the ground up could be built in less time than this. The excuses that I received for this job taking so long was rain(there were at least 11 days during the week that had NO rain that I saw no one on-site working), we changed our minds too much when choosing the colors, and finally, that most of the material was special order. Let's analyze this for a moment. The vinyl came in pretty quick so choice of color wasn't an issue there. Oh. The corners. That must be it. Not!!! We changed our minds on this only after B**** realized that he received the wrong size. Furthermore, I checked on everything. The vinyl and the stone was the only special order and the stone only became a special order after receiving stone that wasn't even close to what we had looked at originally. Even then, the stone that WE went and personally picked out at the stone store only took seven days to be delivered. Communication was usually an issue. The majority of the time when I would call or text either B**** or S**** for questions or complaints they would either take a few days to respond or not respond at all. Just to clear, I called during normal working hours. There was also an incident where one of their employees was drinking on the job and B**** didn't seem very concerned. I was constantly having to remind their employees to clean up the trash at the end of the day. Overall, we had a very poor and unprofessional experience with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises. We would not recommend this company to hire for anyone. As for their claim to have such great warranties, beware of this claim. A hard lesson that I learned was concerning the vinyl siding that they use. The company(Royal Building Products) does carry a lifetime warranty. The only problem is that you MUST have a copy of the original receipt of purchase from their company in order for them to honor the warranty if you need to submit a claim for any reason. This is one thing that S**** misled me on. I made a few attempts via phone call and text in order to resolve this issue. I ended up having to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of which they refused to reply to. They are NOT the hassle free business that they claim to be. At least they didn't prove to be with us.
