The owner Angelo came to my home i showed him all of my projects : some tile replacements water damage to drywall in m/b shower also on garage water heater pedestal ceiling rpr m/bdrm from a/c water damage kool deck repair decorative tile pool spillway he gave me the impression he knew what he was doing he was a nice man seemed legit gave me a bid of$2800 which i thot was a lot but accepted before we set a start date he was already causing red flags he said the bid was too high he was going to lower it he did that again the day he showed up todo work and then when he did begin the job we agreed on the inside work to be completed in the 4 days i would be available to be onsite and then he could do outside work without me having to be onsite.he asked for$600 down he said Porch required money in the accountt before he could start which felt was appropriate considering it being under Porch website i thot it would be safe however this man does not know what he is doing he has no proper tools he came unprepared he spent first day like 6 hours n barely got 4 pieces of tile out he came next day n only spent a couple hours doing 3 pieces of tile and then told me he didn't have his tall ladder to do bedroom he said it was at his house i asked him to go get it so he could do the work he left and called me 2 hours later n told me his mother fell and he was at emergency room with her i asks if he was coming back he did not come that day at this point he had done only 3 pieces of tile n slapped on some drywall patch that night i called n told him not to return and let him know i was putting a complaint on him to Porch this man is a fraud he has very poor work ethic n skill he did nowhere close to $600 of work n i basically got ripped of royally. He should not be sponsored by this site and i now wonder how legitimate anyone on any of these sights are. i will not use Porch again or any referral sight like this.
