Catherine G.
I am adding this review because my review (that I gave 4 stars for on thumbtack.com), was just replied to and they said a lot of crap. So, I am adding all of my notes back to them and somewhere else, because I don't care about being nice if they are willing to lie and cover up what really happend. I am a nice person - even after the mess they made, I walked and didn't pursue making them fix the mistakes. Original Review: Many mixed feelings, as the job took much longer than anyone expected and a second man had to come in, clean up and finish the mess the first man started. However, I am still giving four stars because the end result was mostly what I wanted. I also know Keith was extremely sorry for all the mistakes. I know that doesn't make it all okay, but I have my porch enclosed and it will be a great little space. Thank you! Their response: Thank you, Catherine. This was an old porch space with the typical un-level and un-square surfaces. We ordered all new custom windows and had to frame up for the rough openings and Troy who was a carpenter intended to trim everything with wood. However, Catherine preferred drywall trim instead. Troy, God bless him, did try. Brittany, in customer service, paid her a visit and ultimately we sent a Drywall specialist to finish it for her. UPDATE (this is my response to what they said): I just read your reply to this - I gave four stars when I really only wanted to give two. I was trying to be nice. You don't get to say what you said, because it is not true (I am shaking, I am so upset that whomever wrote this). Troy did not try - do you want to come see the terrible job he did? I have crooked window frames and bowed drywall on two walls. I asked for the walls to be properly finished, and water sometimes likes to leak in with the rain. None of the windows are properly or fully sealed. I didn't want wood framing because he wanted to leave exposed 2x4s. What kind of a finish is that? The only thing I did not want was actual window trimming. The walls were supposed to be fully complete (and they are not from the outside). YOU did not order any custom windows - that is another bold-faced lie. Troy found me some discount windows and I went to pick them up myself. He even broke a couple of edges putting them in, and didnt' tell me. He also didn't even put one side in level. I do not know who Brittany is, but she did not come to my house. I barely got someone on the phone to hear about how unhappy I was with what Troy was doing, and no one came to check on his work. Someone else was finally sent out to finish the job, yes, and, in case you were wondering, his drywall finishing is cracking along the windows and a couple spots in the wall have already cracked. So, no - none of your reply is true, and I do not appreciate the fact that you put it up. I gave Troy the benefit of the doubt for three long and unproductive weeks (he showed up late and when he wanted to - about six times total in that three weeks). The second guy came in and finished within the fourth week. Note: I was told the guys could do it in a day.
